The Mount is contemoorary -- 4 ply Rising Museum Board. Unsigned with printing notes on verso. Printed on semi-gloss silver gelatin paper and accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity, insuring the provenance of the work.
For many years, Imogen's early glass plate negatives, of which this is one, were in her mounting room, wrapped in brown paper. I remember her using these as a weight to flatten her prints! She later decided to return to these negatives and print a few of her early images. This photograph is of her friend, Clare Shepard who was part of a group of friends that she knew in Seattle, was likely taken on Vashon Island or in the woods surrounding Seattle in Washington state,
